Q- Do you charge a travel fee?

A – DJs for Rent charges 55 cents per mile round trip for all events outside of 35 miles from our office (Located in North West Denver, Colorado).

Q – Do you have a backup plan in place?

A – We provide an on-call person who will either fill in as a Disc Jockey or bring backup equipment to your event.  We test all of our equipment once a week and require that all of our Disc Jockeys be punctual and reliable.

Q – How far in advance should I book with you?

A – Anytime.  You can quickly check to see if we are available on your special date by using the Check Availability widget on our home page.

Q – If the event lasts longer than scheduled, what are the overtime charges?

A – Over time rates are $150 an hour, billed in half hour increments.

Q – How will you dress?

A – Most of our events are formal, so we would dress in a jacket and tie. For less formal occasions our Disc Jockeys dress in business casual attire. If there is a theme party (Halloween, beach party, etc) we will dress accordingly.

Q – What kind of music do you play?

A – We have a huge music collection and all Disc Jockeys are skilled with most types of music. Genre and cultural music should be discussed in detail prior to your event.

Q- Do you need a deposit to reserve a particular date? Is my deposit refundable?  What is your policy if for some reason I need to cancel or alter my date?

A – DJs for Rent requests a non-refundable deposit to reserve your date with us. If you cancel within 90 days prior to your event, we require your payment in full. If you change your date and we have that date available then we will continue with the planning process.

Q – Do you charge for setup/breakdown?

A – No. You are charged from the time we begin playing music until we finish. The setup/breakdown of equipment is on us.

Q – What do you require at the venue?

A – We require a sturdy six foot table with a matching table cloth to fit the decor of the event. We also require that we set up by the dance floor (within two to three feet.) Finally, we need an electrical outlet within 25 feet of our table.

Q – What are your rates?

A – We have different packages for different events and needs; plus ala carte items you can pick from to customize your event.  Please see our Packages and Pricing page for more details.

Q – How can I make my deposit or pay the balance?

A – We accept most major credit cards, cash and checks.

Q – Do you offer karaoke?

A – Yes, we can add karaoke to any event or you can book us exclusively for karaoke, please see our packages and pricing page for more information. We regularly run karaoke at Sloan's Bar and Grill in Edgewater, CO on Friday nights, come check us out.
